Braintree

The city of Braintree is divided into six neighborhoods, which include Braintree Highlands, South Braintree, East Braintree, Homestead, Old Boat Point and Weymouth Landing. Cohasset

The name Cohasset comes from an Algonquian word that means "long rocky place." Its name reflects the rocky shore along its border. Attractions in Cohasset include Wompatuck State Park, Wheelwright Park, Beach Island, Whitney & Thayer Woods Reservation and the Cohasset Yacht Club. There are many options for schooling in the city, including a couple of elementary schools, a combined middle/high school and a technical school. Although Cohasset doesn't offer any private schools, there are many available in the surrounding areas. Famous people from Cohasset include actresses Kate Bosworth and Nancy Carell, football player Walt Sweeney and former President John F. Kennedy's nephew, Michael Kennedy. The movies "HouseSitter" and "The Witches of Eastwick" were filmed in Cohasset.

Duxbury

The city of Duxbury is divided into four areas, which include South Duxbury, Duxbury (CDP), Duxbury Beach and Cedar Crest. Duxbury is known for its cranberries, shellfish and oysters. Those who love the outdoors can enjoy horseback riding, hiking, dog walking and bike riding in the city's many parks. Duxbury High School and Duxbury Middle School share one building. In addition, there are two private schools. Famous people from Duxbury include Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, Duxbury's founder Love Brewster and singer Juliana Hatfield. Sites of interest include King Caesar House, Captain Daniel Bradford House, Art Complex Museum, Snug Harbor and Tinkertown.

Hingham

In her book, This is America, Eleanor Roosevelt dubbed Hingham's Main Street "the most beautiful Main Street in America." Hingham is home to many parks and forests, as well as many islands. Abraham Lincoln's ancestors lived in Hingham, along with Congressman John F. Andrew and New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

Hull

The city of Hull boasts one of the best beaches in New England, Nantasket Beach, which is part of the Nantasket Beach Reservation. Other attractions include The Hull Performing Arts. Hull has one elementary school, one middle school and one high school. Notable people from Hull include Shawn Fanning, who was the creator of Napster, and Johnny Earle, who created Johnny Cupcakes.

Kingston

Kingston is home to the Jones River Landing, which is the longest run boat yard in the United States. Kingston shares its middle school and high school with other cities, but has its own elementary school and a private school. Actor Chris Cooper, basketball player Marshall Strickland and Congressman Joseph Ripley Chandler have all at one time called Kingston home. Kingston's attractions include Gray's Beach, a state forest and Monk's Hill.

Marshfield

Marshfield is divided into eight different villages and six separate zip codes, which includes the following areas: Brant Rock, Green Harbor, Marshfield, Marshfield Hills, North Marshfield and Ocean Bluff. Marshfield is a popular place for those who enjoy the water, as it has nine beaches. Five elementary schools, a middle school and a high school serve the students of the city of Marshfield. Several Aerosmith members and Secretary of State Daniel Webster have lived in the city.

Plymouth

Plymouth is known as America's Hometown because it is where New England was first established by the Pilgrims who sailed there on the famous Mayflower ship. Plymouth is also the location of the first Thanksgiving. As a result, the city is a popular place for tourists during the season of Thanksgiving. Plymouth Rock is a popular landmark because of the belief that this was where the Pilgrims first landed, although there is no direct proof of this claim. With 14 schools, Plymouth's school district is one of the largest in Massachusetts. This includes eight elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, a technical school and a charter school.

Quincy

Nicknamed the "City of Presidents," Quincy is named after Colonel John Quincy. Famous residents of the city include President John Quincy Adams, Denver Broncos player Joe Dudek and author John Cheever. Attractions include Tombs of Presidents and the Adams Peacefield residence. The city is divided into a number of neighborhoods and has many beaches. Quincy's school system consists of 12 elementary schools, 5 middle schools and 2 high schools.

Scituate

Between Boston and Plymouth is the town of Scituate. There are several public schools available, which include four elementary schools, an intermediate school, a high school, a technical high school and many private schools. Notable residents of the city include actor Mark Goddard, former Harvard president Henry Dunster and Boston Red Sox shortstop John McDonald. Points of interest include Humarock, The Glades, The Connolly House and The West End.

Weymouth

The city of Weymouth is divided into four districts, which includes East Weymouth, North Weymouth, South Weymouth and Weymouth Landing. Weymouth has one high school, one middle school and eight elementary schools, along with several private schools. Weymouth has been home to actor Tobin Bell, who played Jigsaw in the "Saw" movies, writer/producer Marcy Carsey and Actor Hal Holbrook.
